Business Development Team Leader / Member - Fresh Produce

About the role

Dingdong is an e-commerce platform delivering fresh produce, including vegetables and fruits, directly from farms to customers. It is looking for a Business Development Team Leader or member in Dubai to lead and grow its fresh produce business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the business development team focused on fresh vegetables and fruits.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to drive sales growth and market expansion in the fresh produce sector.
• Identify and build relationships with key suppliers and partners to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality produce.
• Analyze market trends and customer needs to find new business opportunities.
• Work with marketing, logistics and operations teams to optimise product offerings and delivery.
• Monitor and report on sales performance and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality and safety standards.
• Mentor and develop team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agriculture or a related field.
• Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in the fresh produce industry.
• Strong understanding of the fresh vegetables and fruits market, including supply chain and distribution channels.
