Business Insight Analyst – Commercial

About the role

Cognita Schools is seeking a Business Insight Analyst to act as the key analytics partner within its Commercial function. You will translate data into actionable business decisions, supporting areas such as admissions, pipeline performance, retention and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for commercial stakeholders.
• Analyse data directly from the Databricks platform using SQL.
• Provide actionable insights across admissions, pipeline performance, retention and revenue.
• Support data quality, enterprise reporting requirements and drive data literacy.
• Identify and pilot AI‑powered tools to embed self‑service analytics solutions.

Required profile

• Commercially minded professional with experience in business performance, sales, marketing or commercial analytics.
• Proven ability to work with commercial/funnel data, using SQL to explore datasets.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Degree in Data, Business, Statistics, Economics or related field; Power BI certification is a plus.
