Buyer – Aviation Parts & Materials

About the role

Bombardier is establishing a new state‑of‑the‑art Service Center at Al Bateen Executive Airport in Abu Dhabi, slated to open in Q1 2027. The Buyer will support the centre’s MRO operations by ensuring timely acquisition of parts, tools, and materials needed to service the full Bombardier aircraft portfolio across the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and forecast part and material requirements, coordinating acquisition with internal and external suppliers.
• Locate, initiate, and expedite purchase orders for materials, tools, and components.
• Track order status, maintain shortage reports, and communicate updates to management.
• Create internal orders, issue documentation, and manage discrepancies or cancellations.
• Generate new part numbers for site‑specific items and request numbers from internal suppliers.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized and manual filing systems.
• Identify critical paths, assign priorities, and attend departmental meetings.
• Interface with supervisors, managers, and other departments to resolve material problems.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation, material, or parts procurement environments.
• Demonstrated experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Strong planning and organizational abilities to manage multiple projects.
• Effective interpersonal skills for collaboration with sales teams, owners, and internal departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
