C4ISR Systems Solutions Architect (Expat)

About the role

L3Harris is seeking a senior Scientist to design and modernize C4ISR systems for joint operations in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This 3‑year expatriate position involves creating network‑centric architectures, integrating AI, and ensuring interoperability across multiple ISR platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design C4ISR architectures that integrate existing customer equipment with cutting‑edge technologies.
• Incorporate artificial intelligence to enhance data analysis and system capabilities.
• Define data models, standards, and formats for ISR data fusion and dissemination.
• Coordinate with end users, engineering teams, and third‑party vendors to shape requirements and proposals.
• Travel across the Middle East (approximately 50% of the time) to support customer adoption and implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Electrical, Systems or Computer Engineering (or related science discipline).
• 12 years of relevant experience (or 10 years with a Master’s degree).
• 8+ years designing large‑scale C4ISR solutions, including battle management systems and tactical radio networks.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of L3Harris Falcon Radio product line and network‑centric communications.
• Expertise in military vehicle networks and protocols (CAN, MIL‑STD‑1553, Ethernet) and sensors (RADAR, LIDAR, EO/IR, SIGINT).
• Understanding of interoperability, data fusion, real‑time processing, and JADC2 concepts.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or DODAF.
• Experience with AI/ML integration, Agile development methodologies, and software development processes.
