Senior Engineer - Network Security Operations

About the role

Inception42, a G42 company, is looking for a senior engineer to keep its enterprise networks and secure access services reliable, resilient, and secure. You will own complex operational issues, drive controlled changes, and ensure technical delivery aligns with architecture and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and improve LAN, WLAN, WAN, Internet, VPN and hybrid‑cloud connectivity, maintaining availability, performance and secure traffic flows.
• Configure and troubleshoot Aruba switches, wireless controllers, Cisco Catalyst/Nexus platforms, Palo Alto firewalls and Zscaler ZIA/ZPA services.
• Manage Azure VNets, VPN gateways, peering, BGP, NSGs and inspected egress paths.
• Monitor service health, security events and capacity; enhance telemetry and SIEM integration.
• Lead complex network and security incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and remediation.
• Execute vulnerability remediation, configuration hardening, patching and controlled changes.
• Maintain network diagrams, inventories, runbooks and audit evidence; coordinate cabling and documentation standards.
• Drive vendor and carrier escalations, track licensing and provide technical input to procurement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity or related field.
• 6+ years of enterprise networking or network‑security experience with hands‑on responsibility for production operations.
• Strong technical communication, disciplined documentation and ability to coordinate across technical teams.

Required skills

• Aruba switching and wireless configuration.
• Cisco Catalyst/Nexus routing and switching (IOS XE, NX‑OS, VLAN, VRF, OSPF/BGP, QoS).
• Palo Alto firewall policies, NAT, VPN, high‑availability.
• Zscaler ZIA/ZPA (SASE, Zero Trust) operation.
• Azure networking (VNets, peering, VPN Gateway, BGP, NSG).
• TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, network access control fundamentals.
• Monitoring, SIEM integration, vulnerability remediation and incident management.
