Calibration Specialist

About the role

The Calibration Specialist will work in the Calibration Laboratory to ensure test, measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) meets international metrological standards. You will support customers, maintain reference standards, and uphold ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and accreditation requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform calibrations of TMDE and validate metrological traceability to the International System of Units (SI).
• Assist technicians with minor repairs and calibration service support.
• Execute preventive maintenance and intermediate checks on reference standards to maximize uptime.
• Verify calibration report data for compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and accreditation body requirements.
• Develop and validate uncertainty measurement computations in line with ISO‑GUM.
• Maintain technical documentation, work instructions, and laboratory procedures.
• Manage consumables, tools, and equipment inventory.
• Participate in inter‑ and intra‑laboratory comparisons and quality checks.
• Support corrective and preventive actions arising from internal and external audits.
• Identify and report potential risks related to calibration processes.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• Minimum five years of experience in calibration activities.
• Ability to conduct uncertainty measurement computations.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Two years supervisory experience in a calibration laboratory (preferred).
