Capital Markets Originator

About the role

Société Générale Middle East is looking for a Capital Markets Originator within its Debt Capital Markets (DCM) department. The DCM team helps corporate borrowers, financial institutions, public sector entities and sovereigns raise and manage debt capital, covering bond issuance, hybrid capital and liability management advisory, as well as transaction management advisory. The role focuses on corporate, financial and sovereign clients in the CEEMEA region.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to covering clients' borrowing needs in debt capital markets, with a focus on corporate, financial and sovereign clients in CEEMEA
• Build a track record of winning bond mandates and support senior originators in meeting the team's NBI budget and league table targets
• Execute bond mandates responsibly, paying particular attention to risk and compliance requirements
• Support the development of advisory and product offerings in line with DCM's strategy and priorities
• Represent DCM internally to deliver best-in-class advice to the client base
• Maintain transparent relationships with syndicate partners, legal, compliance and other stakeholders

Required profile

• University or school graduate (business and/or engineering) with a specialization in corporate finance
• At least 2 years of experience in debt capital markets
• Fluent English
• Understanding of bond markets, credit and rates derivatives, and ability to produce clear, structured pitch materials
• Awareness of conduct, reputational and financial risks and commitment to the group's values and rules
• Ability to work with people of diverse, international backgrounds and to manage competing deadlines
