Cardiovascular Technician (Echo Cardiographer)

About the role

Czech Rehabilitation Hospital in Al Ain is hiring a full-time Cardiovascular Technician (Echo cardiographer) for a 4-year position. The technician performs imaging tests such as echocardiograms and non-imaging cardiovascular evaluations, and works closely with physicians and clinical staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform imaging tests (echocardiograms) and non-imaging cardiovascular evaluations, including exercise tolerance tests (stress tests), Holter monitoring, event recorders, 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, electrocardiograms and assistance with transesophageal echocardiography.
• Obtain patient history, explain procedures, address concerns and follow pre-screening policies.
• Select the appropriate methodology, immobilization or support devices and imaging device, prepare and position patients, and assist them through the procedure.
• Provide images, data analysis and patient information to the physician for diagnostic interpretation, and monitor the patient's condition during the procedure, reporting changes or emergencies to clinical staff, supervisors and cardiologists.
• Recognize abnormal rhythms and notify the physician or clinical staff immediately.
• Prepare facilities, calibrate equipment, maintain accurate patient documentation and perform general office duties such as stocking supplies, recording procedure codes for billing and scheduling patients.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, promote workplace safety, troubleshoot equipment and escalate issues to engineers, supervisors and cardiologists.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited school of Cardiac Technology.
• 6 months of internship in cath lab technology.
• Current license in the country of origin and a DOH license to practice in the UAE.
• Two years of recent related work experience as a Cardiology Tech, Interventional/Special Procedure Technologist or equivalent.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English; Arabic is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to adapt to a group practice in an industrial environment.
