Cargo Agent – Airport Cargo Operations

About the role

As a Cargo Agent in the dnata Cargo Team, you will manage all cargo handling activities, from documentation and customer service to loading and unloading, ensuring smooth export and import operations.

Key responsibilities

• Follow departmental policies, SOPs and safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Guide and assist loaders and equipment operators in build‑up, breakdown, acceptance, delivery and documentation of cargo, courier and mail.
• Inspect and validate cargo against documentation, counting goods at each stage of handling.
• Enter cargo data into the system promptly, both manually and automatically.
• Coordinate with government authorities (Customs, Health, Police) to ensure efficient cargo movement.
• Handle special cargo such as dangerous goods, live animals and valuable items in line with IATA manuals.
• Operate equipment (tow trucks, forklifts) for loading/unloading cargo from ULDs, aircraft and trucks.

Required profile

• Minimum O‑level or Higher Secondary education.
• At least 2 years of logistics or cargo experience.
• English level 4 proficiency.
• Valid licence for operating cargo handling equipment.

Required skills

• Equipment operation (tow trucks, forklifts).
• Cargo documentation and data entry.
• Dangerous goods handling according to IATA regulations.
