Cashier - Fine Dining Restaurant (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

A prestigious fine-dining restaurant on the Abu Dhabi Corniche, serving Turkish meat dishes, is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented cashier. The role covers billing, reservations and delivery-platform orders, and keeping daily cash and sales records accurate. The ideal candidate has worked as a cashier in a fine-dining restaurant or a premium hotel outlet and is comfortable with POS and reservation systems.

Key responsibilities

• Process guest payments through the POS (cash, card, digital wallets), including split bills, approved discounts and VAT-compliant invoices.
• Open and close each shift: count and hand over the cash float, run end-of-day reports and reconcile cash and card settlements with POS totals.
• Manage table reservations: confirm, amend and cancel bookings, run the waitlist and pass special requests to the floor team.
• Receive and manage orders from delivery and sales platforms (Talabat, Deliveroo, Noon Food, Careem), keep menu availability up to date and reconcile platform statements and payouts.
• Prepare daily sales reports by payment method and channel and submit them to management and the accounts team.
• Issue invoices to corporate clients and follow up on outstanding balances with the B2B sales team.
• Manage petty cash and keep receipts and supporting documents filed for month-end closing.
• Follow cash-control procedures for voids, refunds and discounts and report discrepancies immediately.
• Greet guests at the counter, answer billing questions and keep financial data confidential.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience as a cashier in a fine-dining restaurant or a 4- or 5-star hotel outlet (mandatory).
• Diploma or degree in accounting, commerce or a related field preferred.
• Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Professional appearance, high integrity and accuracy under pressure.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• POS systems such as Foodics, Oracle Micros/Simphony or Lightspeed.
• Reservation systems such as SevenRooms, Eat App or OpenTable.
• Order and reconciliation management on delivery platforms.
• Accounting basics: cash handling, daily reconciliation, UAE VAT invoicing and petty cash.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
