About the role
The Chef de Partie (Cold Kitchen) will be responsible for preparing and presenting cold dishes at Ajman Saray, a Luxury Collection Resort. The role involves maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and service while supporting the kitchen team during busy periods.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare cold foods and special menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters and manage thawing of frozen items.
- Maintain food logs, monitor portion sizes, and ensure proper food garnish.
- Communicate with service staff about menu specials, out‑of‑stock items, and excess food for daily specials.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, and employee coaching as needed.
Required profile
- Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant kitchen experience, preferably in a cold‑kitchen environment.
- No prior supervisory experience required.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb and perform physical tasks associated with kitchen work.
