About the role
The Chef de Partie will prepare special meals and substitute items, regulate oven and grill temperatures, and manage food thawing from freezer to refrigerator. This role ensures high‑quality presentation, proper portioning, and garnish standards in a fast‑paced hotel kitchen.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
- Maintain food logs, monitor quality and quantity, and communicate menu specials to service staff.
- Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters; pull and thaw frozen items.
- Ensure proper portion arrangement, garnish, and cold‑food preparation.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, and employee coaching.
- Follow safety, security, and company policies; report maintenance needs and incidents.
Required profile
- Technical, trade, or vocational school degree related to culinary arts.
- At least 3 years of relevant kitchen experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
