Chief Accountant – Hotel Finance Leader

About the role

As the Chief Accountant for Shada Hotel, you will lead all accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with local regulations. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the hotel’s financial health and supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in line with accounting standards and company policies.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger maintenance.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to protect financial data and assets.
• Assist in budgeting, financial planning and analysis, providing insights for management.
• Manage cash flow, conduct bank reconciliations and optimise liquidity for operational needs.
• Support procurement activities, vendor negotiations and contract management.
• Stay updated on accounting technology trends and drive improvements in accounting systems.
• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Promote health, safety and environmental best practices within the hotel.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting or finance within the hospitality sector.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial regulations and audit processes.
• Ability to analyse financial data and present actionable recommendations.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and internal controls.
• Leadership capability to manage and develop a small accounting team.
