Chief Accountant

About the role

The Chief Accountant leads the day‑to‑day accounting function for Daikan Hospitality Group’s FZCO entity and its multiple outlets, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under IFRS, as well as outlet‑level P&L, budgets, forecasts and management reports.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing, journal entries, accruals, provisions, depreciation and general ledger accuracy.
• Oversee bank, cash, POS, card, delivery platform, inter‑company, supplier and balance‑sheet reconciliations while strengthening internal controls.
• Handle accounts payable/receivable, payment runs, cash‑flow, payroll accounting, UAE VAT and corporate tax compliance, and coordinate external audits.
• Maintain accounting systems, supervise finance staff, manage inventory and fixed assets, update SOPs and ensure audit‑ready records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CMA or CA) preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role, preferably in hospitality, F&B or multi‑outlet environments.
• Strong UAE experience including VAT, corporate tax and free‑zone (FZCO) reporting.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS, month‑end close, reconciliations and financial statement preparation.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with accounting ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, Odoo, Tally or Zoho Books.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modelling).
• Proficiency in UAE VAT and corporate tax compliance.
