Chief Accountant

About the role

Inflexion, an SAP Gold Partner and provider of AI-powered solutions, is looking for a Chief Accountant in Abu Dhabi to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, statutory compliance and financial controls. The role covers accurate financial records, month-end and year-end close, and financial insights for strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and bank reconciliation
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly and annual closing, and prepare and review IFRS-compliant financial statements
• Monitor cash flow, working capital and financial performance
• Oversee AR collections and AP processes, and ensure compliance with UAE VAT and corporate tax rules
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants and regulators, and maintain internal controls
• Prepare and process monthly payroll, and monitor project profitability, revenue recognition and cost allocations
• Produce management reports, dashboards and variance analysis, and support budgeting and forecasting
• Analyse financial data, recommend process improvements, and lead and mentor the accounting team
• Collaborate with HR, PMO, Sales, Procurement and Operations, and support ERP finance initiatives and policy documentation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field
• CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA or equivalent highly preferred
• Minimum 8-12 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3-5 years in a senior or supervisory role
• Experience with UAE VAT, corporate tax and statutory reporting
• Experience with external auditors and regulatory authorities
• Advantage: IT services, consulting, ERP implementation or professional services background

Required skills

• IFRS, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, fixed assets and payroll accounting
• SAP S/4HANA or SAP Business One (advantage)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
