Chief Design Officer

About the role

NAGANAGA is seeking a visionary Chief Design Officer to shape the firm’s overall design direction and uphold design excellence across architecture, interior design, landscape, master planning and multidisciplinary project delivery. Reporting to the Chairman, the CDO will work closely with senior leadership and studio heads to reinforce NAGA’s market position and deliver innovative, commercially successful solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead NAGA’s design vision, creative direction and philosophy across all disciplines.
• Ensure consistent design excellence, innovation and quality for architecture, interiors, landscape, urban and multidisciplinary projects.
• Oversee concept development, design reviews and critical project milestones.
• Act as the ultimate design authority for major projects, competitions and flagship developments.
• Provide leadership to design directors, studio heads and discipline leaders.
• Establish design governance, review processes, quality standards and creative benchmarks.
• Mentor senior design talent and foster a high‑performing, design‑led culture.
• Promote collaboration between architecture, interiors, landscape, planning, engineering and delivery teams.
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic growth and market positioning.
• Represent NAGA in high‑level client presentations, design workshops, pitches and industry events.

Required profile

• Recognised design leader with extensive experience on large‑scale, high‑profile projects in hospitality, residential, mixed‑use, commercial, cultural and master‑planning sectors.
• Proven ability to work closely with C‑level executives and senior studio heads.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate vision into actionable design outcomes.
• Track record of mentoring senior teams and building collaborative, multidisciplinary environments.
