Chiller Technician – Air‑Cooled Systems

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Chiller Technician to join our Dubai team. The successful candidate will install, commission, troubleshoot and maintain air‑cooled chillers and related HVAC equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on air‑cooled chillers, condensers, pumps and associated HVAC systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and control faults using schematics, P&IDs and diagnostic tools.
• Replace or repair defective components and optimise system performance.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, control schematics and technical manuals.
• Prepare service reports, record maintenance activities and coordinate work schedules with supervisors, engineers and clients.
• Monitor system efficiency, recommend improvements and support energy‑saving initiatives.
• Adhere to company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures and relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or certification in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a Chiller or HVAC Technician, preferably with air‑cooled chillers in commercial, industrial or district‑cooling environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural setting and communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers and clients.

Required skills

• Air‑cooled chiller installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• HVAC maintenance and performance optimisation.
• Interpretation of electrical diagrams, control schematics and P&IDs.
• Refrigeration cycle knowledge, compressor servicing and refrigerant handling.
• Leak detection, vacuum charging and use of manifold gauges.
• Basic electrical and controls work (sensors, contactors, relays, VFDs, control panels).
• Preventive maintenance planning and service documentation.
• Lockout/tagout safety procedures.
