Civil Architectural Inspector

About the role

At AtkinsRéalis is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Civil Architectural Inspector to join its team. The inspector ensures the quality and compliance of architectural projects against design specifications, building codes and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect civil architectural projects to ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes and regulations.
• Review architectural plans, drawings and blueprints to spot issues or discrepancies.
• Monitor construction progress and workmanship, flagging deviations from approved plans.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers and construction teams to resolve issues.
• Document inspection findings, prepare detailed reports and keep accurate records.
• Advise construction teams on best practices, quality standards and compliance.
• Carry out site visits at all stages of construction and attend stakeholder meetings to share updates and recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• 8 to 10 years of experience as an Architectural Inspector or similar role in construction or consultancy.
• In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations and civil architecture standards.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage several projects and travel to sites, including occasional evenings or weekends.
