Civil Engineer – Infrastructure Projects (UAE Nationals)

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its infrastructure team, focusing on dry utilities and power distribution projects across the UAE and the wider Gulf region. The role involves delivering designs from concept master‑plan through to IFC stage, ensuring compliance with local authority guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and apply Dubai, Abu Dhabi and KSA authority standards for infrastructure projects.
• Develop design packages for primary substations, EHV/HV/LV corridors, distribution and pocket substations, feeder pillars and service turrets.
• Perform HV (up to 33 kV) and LV network calculations, prepare reports and technical documentation.
• Design telecommunication networks, including ducts, manholes and GSM tower coverage analysis.
• Create street lighting solutions for all road types, including lighting calculations, single‑line diagrams and load schedules.
• Coordinate design efforts with wet utilities, roads, transportation, landscape and building disciplines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Proven experience on infrastructure and utility projects in the Gulf region.
• Strong understanding of local authority guidelines and standards.
• Ability to produce clear technical reports and calculations.
