Civil Inspector - QA/QC (Civil Construction & Pipelines)

About the role

An experienced Civil Inspector is sought with more than 10 years of industrial QA/QC experience in civil construction and pipeline projects. The inspector checks civil works such as concrete buildings, structures, pipe racks, trenching, backfilling, berm construction and Right of Way (ROW) works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards and construction procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect civil construction activities against approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Inspect concrete works, foundations, buildings, structural elements and pipe racks, monitoring pouring, reinforcement, formwork and embedded items.
• Inspect pipeline civil works including trench excavation, preparation, backfilling, berm construction and ROW development.
• Verify materials, workmanship, dimensions, levels and alignment against approved specifications.
• Review method statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists and quality documentation.
• Coordinate concrete testing and material inspections with laboratory and site teams.
• Identify defects and non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions with the construction team.
• Maintain inspection reports, site records and checklists for client review.
• Work with QA/QC personnel, civil engineers, contractors and client representatives, and ensure compliance with HSE standards.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering (3 years) or Bachelor's degree (4 years).
• 10+ years of industrial QA/QC experience in civil works.
• Strong experience in concrete buildings, structures and pipe racks; pipeline experience in trenching, backfilling, berms and ROW.
• Knowledge of civil drawings, specifications, inspection procedures and quality documentation.
• Experience reviewing ITPs, method statements, checklists and test reports.
• Valid UAE/GCC driving licence.
