Civil Site Engineer - Residential

About the role

A rapidly growing group of companies based in Dubai, known for its real estate business and focus on mid to high-rise residential projects, is hiring a full-time Civil Site Engineer. The role covers multi-storey residential and apartment buildings (G+6 and above) and is based in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and execute daily civil and structural works, including excavation, foundations, RCC structure, blockwork, waterproofing, plastering, screeding and finishing.
• Manage day-to-day site activities, subcontractors, manpower, materials and work sequencing so that works follow approved drawings, specifications, method statements and the construction programme.
• Coordinate with MEP, architectural, structural and finishing teams, resolving clashes, technical issues and constraints to avoid delays and rework.
• Carry out site inspections and quality checks, coordinate consultant inspections and approvals, RFIs, snagging and handover, and maintain quality, safety and productivity standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with at least 3-5 years of hands-on site execution experience in building construction.
• Proven experience on multi-storey residential projects (G+4 and above), having directly supervised residential building works on site.
• Must come from a main contractor, building contractor or residential developer; candidates mainly experienced in villas, roads/infrastructure, utilities, industrial projects, FM/maintenance or fit-out-only works will not be considered.

Required skills

• Strong practical knowledge of RCC, formwork, rebar, concrete, blockwork, waterproofing, plastering, screeding and architectural finishing.
• Excellent ability to read structural and architectural drawings.
