Cluster Government Relation Manager

About the role

Minor Hotels is looking for a Cluster Government Relation Manager for its Dukes The Palm Dubai Hotel, part of the Colbert Collection. The role handles all visa, permit, license and registration transactions and liaises with government departments and agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the processing of all types of visas, including employment visas, residence visas for employees and visas required for entertainers and guests.
• Liaise with government authorities such as MOHRE, GDRFA, Dubai Municipality, DED and other regulatory bodies.
• Monitor the renewal of permits and licenses, including the hotel trade license, liquor trading license, chamber of commerce certificates of registration and the civil defense certificate.
• Stay up to date on changes to laws, rules, forms and formats, and other procedures.
• Ensure documents are submitted regularly to the immigration and labour office regarding cancelled or absconding employees so they are removed from the hotel's sponsorship list.
• Make sure departure and exit formalities are completed after visa cancellation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements to minimise the risk of penalties and fines.
• Support hotel management with government-related approvals, inspections and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven work experience as a Government Relation Manager or similar role.
• Previous experience in a large hotel with at least 500 rooms in a luxury property; pre-opening experience is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work in shifts.
