CNC Programmer (Composites)

About the role

EDGE Advanced Concepts is seeking a CNC Programmer to independently program, set up and operate CNC mills, lathes and multi‑axis machines for the production of high‑precision composite components.

Key responsibilities

• Program, set up and operate CNC mills, lathes and multi‑axis machines using Mastercam 2022 and PowerMill Ultimate.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings and convert them into CNC programs.
• Select tooling, fixtures and machining strategies to meet precision requirements.
• Optimize machining parameters for efficiency, tool life and part quality.
• Perform first‑piece inspection, troubleshoot issues and guide junior technicians.
• Maintain CNC equipment and support loading and machine setup as needed.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or CNC Machining.
• Experience with multi‑axis CNC machines and mill‑turn centers.
• Familiarity with prototyping or low‑volume production workflows.
• Strong English communication skills and a proactive, accountable attitude.
