Cognita Impact Lead (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Cognita, a global family of over 90 schools across 21 countries, is looking for an organised, collaborative and proactive person to cover the Cognita Impact strand of the Cognita Impact Lead role during a period of maternity leave. This is a fixed-term, part-time position (3 days per week) running from January to the end of April 2027, based in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Group Partnerships day to day, keeping live partnerships running smoothly and supporting schools to get the most from their involvement
• Lead weekly working-party meetings with curriculum teams across The Sparkle Foundation and UWS Global partnerships, meet fortnightly with fundraising committees and coordinate ongoing partnership activity
• Meet regularly with the Malawi and Nepal teams and prepare and support the teacher trips to Malawi (March) and Nepal (April)
• Grow School-Driven Partnerships by engaging current and prospective schools, supporting schools in using the MELF system and developing the third Group Partnership
• Continue building out the intervention scoped in Term 1, map it for the next year with a new group of schools, and monitor and report on impact
• Maintain the termly learner reach tracker, staff involvement and testimonial data, and inspire students
• Support UAE schools with their transformational learning experience linked to The Sparkle Foundation trip in June, deliver in-school workshops and work with teachers on preparation, risk assessment and planning
• Contribute to media articles and coordinate content on partnerships to raise Cognita Impact's profile externally

Required profile

• Experience managing partnerships or projects, ideally in education, international development or the charity sector
• Strong relationship-building skills with teachers, school leaders and external partners
• Excellent organisation and planning, including trip logistics and risk assessment
• Confident facilitation of workshops with students
• Clear written communication with an eye for data and storytelling
• Willingness to work flexibly around meetings across time zones and to travel where required
