Colon and Rectal Surgeon - American Board Consultant Specialist

About the role

A leading UAE healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Colon & Rectal Surgeon with American Board certification to join its specialist surgical team. The role involves delivering comprehensive colorectal care, managing complex cases, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist/consultant‑level colorectal surgical care.
• Diagnose and manage colorectal, anal, and pelvic conditions.
• Perform elective and emergency colorectal procedures, including malignancies, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease, and anorectal disorders.
• Conduct minimally invasive and laparoscopic colorectal surgeries where trained.
• Lead pre‑operative assessments and develop individualized surgical plans.
• Oversee post‑operative management and follow‑up care.
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in tumour boards, clinical case discussions, teaching, research, and quality‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• MD/MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• American Board Certification in Colon & Rectal Surgery.
• Relevant specialist/consultant‑level clinical experience, preferably in a tertiary‑care or academic hospital.
• Current board certification and good professional standing.
• Eligibility for DOH/DHA medical licensing.
• Strong clinical, communication, leadership, and team‑working abilities.
