Commercial Corporate Counsel – Middle East

About the role
Salesforce is hiring a high‑performing Corporate Counsel to join its Commercial Legal team in EMEA, supporting sales to customers primarily in the United Arab Emirates and the broader Middle East region. The role is based in the Dubai office and focuses on advising on UAE and regional laws, drafting and negotiating technology service agreements, and providing legal support for cloud‑based, on‑premise and professional services.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on UAE and other Middle East countries’ laws, regulations and procedures, aligning contractual and operational offerings with business growth targets.
- Draft, negotiate and counsel on strategic technology service agreements with commercial and public‑sector customers and partners.
- Provide legal support for regional services, offering regulatory interpretation and guidance on cloud‑based, on‑premise and professional services.
- Collaborate with privacy, government affairs, security and compliance teams to ensure agreements align with internal policies.
- Support existing contracts, manage disputes, and respond to public market surveys, RFIs/RFPs.
- Develop training materials and deliver training on relevant legal topics and best practices.
Required profile
- Master’s degree from a reputable university; LLM or studies in an English‑speaking country are a plus.
- Qualified lawyer in a major jurisdiction; UAE qualification is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in a reputable law firm or in‑house commercial counsel supporting IT contracts and public procurements in the Middle East.
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
Required skills
- Substantial knowledge of UAE law and major common‑law jurisdictions related to commercial and technology contracting.
- Experience with cloud computing and AI‑related legal issues.
- Expertise in data privacy, intellectual property and US revenue recognition law.
- Outstanding legal drafting skills in both Arabic and English, strong legal reasoning and negotiation abilities.
