Commercial Excellence & Pricing Manager

About the role

ABB is looking for a Commercial Excellence & Pricing Manager to lead global pricing and commercial excellence initiatives across its business units. The role will shape policies, drive analytics, and ensure consistent execution of quote‑to‑cash and tender processes worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a global Commercial Excellence framework, including policies, standards and KPIs.
• Improve quote‑to‑cash and tender governance to reduce cycle times and discount leakage.
• Establish and enforce pricing governance, guardrails, approval workflows and profitability thresholds.
• Own Salesforce (SFDC/CPQ) modules, shape the tool roadmap and drive global adoption.
• Develop and maintain advanced analytics such as price waterfalls, elasticity models, margin bridges and BI dashboards.
• Partner with Finance, Sales, Product Management, Operations and Customer Experience to deliver commercial impact.
• Lead a global team of senior professionals and ensure compliance with delegation of authority and commercial standards.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in pricing, commercial finance or commercial excellence, preferably in industrial automation, energy or engineering‑driven B2B environments.
• Advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven track record of designing and executing global pricing strategies and governance.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across finance, sales and product functions.

Required skills

• Salesforce (SFDC) and CPQ configuration and administration.
• Advanced analytics and BI dashboard development.
• Price elasticity modeling and margin analysis techniques.
