Commercial Sales Manager – FMCG (Dairy & Milling)

About the role

The Commercial Sales Manager will lead revenue growth and market expansion for fast‑moving consumer goods in the dairy and milling sectors across Tanzania and beyond. This senior position focuses on building export channels, strengthening distribution networks, and delivering profitable sales performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute commercial sales strategies aligned with company objectives and market trends.
• Expand market presence for dairy and milling products, identifying new export opportunities and establishing distribution channels.
• Lead, mentor and motivate a high‑performing sales team to meet monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
• Monitor KPIs, analyse sales data and market insights to drive growth.
• Build and maintain key customer relationships, partnerships and trade agreements.
• Collaborate with marketing, production and finance to ensure commercial alignment.
• Negotiate contracts, tenders and trade agreements while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Provide regular performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of commercial sales experience in FMCG, preferably dairy and milling.
• Proven track record in export sales and opening new international markets.
• Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and analytical abilities.
• Experience working in African markets is highly advantageous.
