Commis I – Asian Specialty Kitchen Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Commis I specialized in Asian cuisine to join our hotel kitchen in Dubai. The successful candidate will support food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, chop, wash and store ingredients, including fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh, measure, mix ingredients and follow recipes to prepare and cook Asian dishes.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Test foods for doneness, monitor quality, and ensure proper presentation.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in correct portions, and maintain clean work areas.
• Clean and disinfect kitchen tools, knives, equipment and ensure temperature compliance.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, report incidents and maintain a professional appearance.
• Perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 lb, and reaching overhead.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and perform physical duties.
