Commis II – Kitchen Assistant (Full‑time)

About the role

The Commis II supports the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, washing and peeling fresh produce, and measuring and mixing components for a variety of dishes. You will follow recipes and quality standards to ensure consistent presentation and taste, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, chop and store food items for cooking.
• Wash, peel and ready fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh, measure and mix ingredients according to recipes.
• Cook food following recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Prepare cold dishes and salads.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely.
• Test foods for doneness and monitor overall food quality.
• Set‑up and break down work stations, ensuring proper sanitation.
• Serve food in correct portions and maintain proper receptacles.
• Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives and equipment.
• Check and record appliance and food temperatures.
• Follow company safety, security and hygiene policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related kitchen or food‑preparation experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
