About the role
Anantara Hotels & Resorts, a global luxury hotel and resort brand rooted in Thai culture, is hiring a Commis II at its Downtown Dubai property. The role supports the kitchen team in preparing and serving food and keeping the work area clean and safe.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and service of food and prepare mise en place for the outlets as required.
- Follow Anantara food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality.
- Look for opportunities to suggest improvements to the presentation guidelines.
- Keep working areas clean and tidy and maintain food safety and protection, including proper dating, storage and rotation of food.
- Maintain basic food safety and sanitation practices.
- Take responsibility for looking after hotel property, equipment and facilities.
- Participate in departmental training and help maintain departmental checklists and cleaning schedules.
- Assist with events, banquets and other functions as required.
- Adhere to personal hygiene and grooming standards, fire safety rules and health and safety regulations.
