Commissioning Superintendent – Mechanical

About the role

KBR is seeking a Commissioning Superintendent Mechanical with on‑shore site experience on large‑scale EPC projects, to be based in Abu Dhabi for a PMC assignment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with licensors and vendors to monitor commissioning activities according to their procedures.
• Lead the progress of commissioning for sales gas and condensate areas, reviewing pre‑commissioning and commissioning procedures.
• Provide advice and support to the Senior Commissioning Manager and review commissioning manuals issued by EPC contractors or vendors.
• Verify mechanical completion certificates for various systems and subsystems and ensure readiness for MC and RFSU certificate issuance.
• Participate in commissioning and troubleshooting meetings, resolve obstacles, and approve the close‑out of punch lists.
• Ensure handover methodology complies with contractual documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 18 years of commissioning/operation‑readiness experience, preferably in the GCC region.
• At least 5 years in a similar role on oil & gas or petrochemical projects, with exposure to sour‑gas, hydrogen production or hydro‑desulfurization.
