Communications Lead

About the role

Mintlayer is looking for a Communications Lead to be the human voice that connects its diverse community of Bitcoin advocates, DeFi users, developers, and institutional observers. You will shape and execute the day‑to‑day social media strategy, manage the community newsletter, and ensure clear, accessible updates during protocol events.

Key responsibilities

• Own Mintlayer’s social media presence on X, LinkedIn, Telegram, and Discord.
• Build and maintain a regular community newsletter, handling content planning, drafting, and distribution.
• Manage community health during launches, incidents, and milestone announcements.
• Translate technical updates into accessible language for the community.
• Monitor sentiment, flag material concerns, and coordinate with the engineering team.
• Oversee Discord server structure, moderation standards, and ambassador relationships.
• Collaborate with the Product Marketing Manager on community activation for product launches.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in crypto community management or communications.
• Deep familiarity with Bitcoin and DeFi ecosystems and their cultures.
• Strong, authentic writing style; corporate‑speak is a disqualifier.
• Proven ability to manage community dynamics during sensitive periods such as downturns or launch delays.
