Compliance Manager

About the role

Dawam Business Solutions is looking for a Compliance Manager in Sheikh Zayed. The role ensures the company complies with all regulatory, legal and ethical standards, builds and maintains an effective compliance framework, monitors regulatory developments and fosters a culture of compliance across all departments. It reports directly to the CEO.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the compliance framework, policies and procedures in line with local and international regulations.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and ensure monitoring, reporting and mitigation of identified risks.
• Review and interpret laws, regulations and guidelines affecting the company's Fin-tech and Microfinance activities.
• Prepare and present compliance reports, risk assessments and regulatory updates to the CEO and senior management.
• Ensure all departments follow internal compliance controls and procedures.
• Act as the main contact for regulators, auditors and other stakeholders, and oversee compliance investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver compliance training and awareness sessions to employees.
• Monitor adherence to AML and CTF obligations and support governance and policy review.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Master's or professional certification such as CAMS, CCO or ICA preferred.
• 7 to 10 years of experience in compliance, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience in Fin-tech, Microfinance or Banking.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of AML, CFT, data protection and corporate governance regulations.
• Analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
