Computerised Embroidery Machine Operator

About the role

This is a hands‑on position operating a Brother 10‑needle computerised embroidery machine to produce high‑quality personalised textile products. The role requires technical knowledge of machine embroidery and the ability to manage daily production independently.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and manage a Brother 10‑needle computerised embroidery machine, loading PES and DST files.
• Prepare products for embroidery (hooping, stabilising, backing selection) and set machine parameters such as thread colour, needle type and tension.
• Monitor production, troubleshoot issues (thread breaks, puckering, misalignment) and ensure all output meets quality standards.
• Trim threads, inspect finished items and ready orders for dispatch while handling multiple customer orders.
• Perform routine cleaning, maintenance and basic machine troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience with commercial multi‑needle embroidery machines (Brother, Tajima, Barudan or Ricoma).
• Ability to work independently, manage several orders and maintain high attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills and willingness to collaborate with a production team.

Required skills

• Operation of Brother 10‑needle (or similar) computerised embroidery machines.
• Familiarity with digital embroidery file formats (PES, DST).
• Understanding of thread tension, needle selection, stabilisers, hooping and fabric handling.
• Basic troubleshooting of embroidery machines and routine maintenance.
• Optional: experience with embroidery digitisation software such as Wilcom or Brother PE‑Design.
