Construction HVAC Superintendent

About the role

The Construction HVAC Superintendent directs subcontractor activities for HVAC plant construction on the Hail & Ghasha project in Al Ruwais, UAE. Works must follow erection schedules, project documents, cost budget, quality and safety procedures and subcontract terms. The contract runs from 1 November 2026 to 31 October 2027, with a 60-day on-site rotation followed by 10 paid days off and 2 paid travel days.

Key responsibilities

• Check suppliers' material and technical documentation delivery schedules against construction schedules and contractual commitments, and recover delays.
• Control and approve subcontractor method statements before work starts and ensure they are applied correctly on site.
• Ensure HSE procedures and standards are implemented for subcontractor areas and take part in site HSE activities.
• Verify that equipment and manpower are adequate and that works conform to design documents, safety regulations and quality levels.
• Inspect works, sign inspection certificates, prepare non-conformity registers and coordinate their resolution.
• Detect design errors and request changes from the Site Engineer where needed.
• Approve subcontractor work progress status sheets and manage vendor specialists.
• Assist the Contract Manager/Engineer on price definitions, subcontract amendments and claims analysis.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent diploma in engineering.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in construction of large oil & gas plants or EPC projects as HVAC Supervisor/Engineer.
