Construction Manager - Fit-out & Joinery

About the role

Juma Al Majid Holding Group L.L.C. is looking for a Construction Manager for fit-out and joinery projects in Dubai. The role leads the preparation, scheduling, coordination and monitoring of assigned engineering projects, enforces compliance with codes and industry best practice, and manages the commercial side of the project.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor assigned engineering projects; enforce codes, industry best practice and rigorous QA/QC.
• Interact daily with clients, interpret their needs and handle contractual and commercial issues with clients, contractors and suppliers.
• Run technical and commercial workshops and attend meetings with project officials, contractors and suppliers.
• Determine and manage the reports needed to track and evaluate project progress.
• Direct the planning department for procurement, production and installation programmes.
• Monitor the performance and productivity of the project team.
• Follow up monthly payment applications and payments, and submit variations and follow up on approvals.
• Follow up site QA/QC and safety procedures and maintain a safe, clean working environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years' experience in joinery and interior fit-out works.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, plus training courses.
• A certificate in Project Management or Contract Management is an advantage.
