Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist

About the role

Amana Healthcare, a member of the M42 network, is seeking a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join its Mental Health Services team. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment for children, adolescents and their families within a multidisciplinary, patient‑centered environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents presenting with emotional, behavioral, developmental and mental health disorders.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of conditions including anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum, psychotic and behavioral disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using pharmacological and non‑pharmacological interventions.
• Provide ongoing outpatient care and follow‑up assessments in multidisciplinary settings.
• Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, pediatricians, social workers, educators and other professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Offer family counseling, psycho‑education and support to patients and caregivers.
• Participate in crisis intervention, risk assessment and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with regulatory and organizational requirements.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Psychiatry.
• Fellowship or subspecialty training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Consultant qualification recognized under the UAE professional licensing framework.
