Consultant Emergency Medicine Physician – UAE

About the role

A leading internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its high‑acuity emergency department and seeks a Consultant Emergency Medicine Physician. Key responsibilities

• Lead assessment and stabilisation of emergency, trauma, cardiac, medical, surgical and paediatric presentations.
• Perform resuscitation, airway management, procedural sedation and make critical decisions in the emergency department.
• Triage complex cases, supervise emergency teams and coordinate timely specialist referrals.
• Ensure safe patient flow, manage observation unit decisions, transfers and discharge planning.
• Participate in disaster preparedness, trauma protocols, simulation training and clinical governance.
• Maintain accurate emergency documentation, medico‑legal compliance and patient safety standards.

Required profile

• Internationally trained emergency medicine consultant with recognised specialist qualification (e.g., American Board, UK CCT/FRCEM, European Board, Royal College Canada, Australian FACEM, Arab Board, MD/DNB/FCPS or equivalent).
• Eligibility for UAE licensing and facility credentialing.
• Extensive experience in high‑acuity emergency, trauma and resuscitation care.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and communicate with a diverse patient population.
