Consultant Family Medicine – Full‑time in UAE

About the role
A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is seeking an experienced Consultant Family Medicine to join its multidisciplinary primary healthcare team. The role involves delivering comprehensive, patient‑centred medical care across all age groups in a modern, evidence‑based environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide primary healthcare services to patients of all ages, including infants, children, adults, and the elderly.
- Diagnose, treat and manage acute illnesses, chronic diseases and complex medical conditions using evidence‑based practice.
- Conduct health assessments, routine examinations and preventive health screenings.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, dyslipidaemia and cardiovascular disease.
- Promote preventive healthcare through vaccinations, lifestyle counselling, smoking cessation, weight management and health education.
- Manage women’s health, men’s health, adolescent health and geriatric care within the scope of family medicine.
- Perform minor office‑based procedures in line with clinical competency and organisational policies.
- Order, interpret and evaluate laboratory investigations, diagnostic imaging and other relevant tests.
- Refer patients to specialty services and coordinate multidisciplinary care to ensure continuity and optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medical records in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits and patient safety programmes.
- Supervise and mentor junior physicians, residents, interns and other healthcare professionals where applicable.
- Participate in on‑call duties and emergency care as required.
Required profile
- Qualified medical doctor with experience as a Consultant in Family Medicine.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision‑making abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to coordinate patient care with specialists and allied health professionals.
