Consultant Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

About the role

The Al Ain Hospital is seeking an experienced Consultant in Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation to lead clinical services and support the Division Chief. This senior physician will provide high‑quality care to children requiring rehabilitation and coordinate multidisciplinary teams within the hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Support and implement hospital, departmental and divisional policies and initiatives.
• Lead performance management processes, including peer review and productivity assessments.
• Assist the Division Chief with scheduling, recruitment, and ensuring continuous medical coverage.
• Oversee clinical activities of junior medical staff and assume responsibility for patient care delivered by the team.
• Diagnose, treat, and document patient cases according to best‑practice standards.
• Conduct regular ward rounds, review investigations, adjust treatment plans, and ensure informed consent for procedures.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and liaise with other specialties and support services.
• Maintain compliance with SEHA policies, licensing, certification, and mandatory training requirements.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with specialization in Rehabilitation.
• Board certification or fellowship from a recognized Western board (e.g., American Board, CCT UK, Australian Board).
• Current national medical license.
• Minimum of 5 years post‑specialization clinical experience.
• Proof of yearly CME participation.
