Consultant Physiatrist (PM&R Specialist) - Dubai

About the role

A leading JCI-accredited multispecialty healthcare group in Dubai is seeking a highly skilled Consultant / Specialist in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) to join its expanding rehabilitation and pain management division. You will lead comprehensive rehabilitation programs that restore function, improve quality of life and optimise recovery for patients with acute and chronic physical impairments.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients with musculoskeletal, neurological and functional impairments
• Design and implement individualized rehabilitation programs for stroke, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, chronic pain and sports injuries
• Perform interventional procedures such as joint injections, nerve blocks and ultrasound-guided treatments
• Collaborate with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists and pain specialists on multidisciplinary care
• Monitor patient progress and adjust rehabilitation plans accordingly
• Provide post-operative rehabilitation guidance with orthopedic and neurosurgical teams
• Lead pain management strategies including non-surgical and minimally invasive approaches
• Educate patients and families on recovery pathways, lifestyle modifications and preventive care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with DHA and international standards, and take part in audits, quality improvement and continuous medical education

Required profile

• Board-certified PM&R specialist or consultant from a globally recognised system (ABPMR, UK CCT / GMC Specialist Register, European Board, Canadian / Australian Fellowship, Arab Board / FCPS / MD PM&R)
• Minimum 3-5+ years of post-board experience preferred
• DHA license eligibility or an active license is an advantage
