Consultant – Preventive Medicine

About the role

We are seeking a Consultant in Preventive Medicine to join our medical staff. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive preventive, executive health, and internal medicine services within a leading academic medical center, contributing to clinical excellence, research, and evidence‑based practice.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and provide care to patients within the Preventive Medicine specialty.
• Prescribe and administer medication, therapy, and specialized medical care to prevent or treat illness.
• Analyze records, reports, and test results to diagnose medical conditions.
• Gather patient history, explain procedures, and discuss test results or treatment plans.
• Perform specific treatments and surgical procedures as appropriate.
• Document patient evaluations and coordinate referrals to other healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with medical and non‑medical staff to ensure quality patient treatment.
• Adhere to ethical, regulatory, and institutional policies and clinical privileges.
• Participate in administrative functions such as committees, task forces, and performance improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Tier 1 qualification (e.g., American Board of Medical Specialties, UK CCT) or equivalent.
• MD, MBBS, MBChB or DO with specialization in Preventive Medicine.
• Minimum 2 years (Tier 1) or 5 years (Tier 2) post‑qualification experience.
• Valid medical license/registration in home country or last place of employment.
• Maintenance of Certification compliance where applicable.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
