Control Room Operator - Power & Water Plant

About the role

Mirfa International Power & Water Company (MIPCO) in Mirfa, Abu Dhabi is hiring a Control Room Operator. The operator ensures safe and efficient operation of the power and water plant, optimizes plant performance and keeps all control systems running to meet commercial and environmental targets. The position is reserved for male UAE nationals with a family book, and all workplace communication is in English.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce health and safety policies and monitor contractor compliance
• Operate plant equipment and respond to emergencies
• Conduct predictive and preventative maintenance
• Perform calibration and repair of instrumentation and control systems
• Maintain operational efficiency and cleanliness of the facility

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline
• 3 to 5 years of field or plant control panel experience in power plant operations; maintenance experience is also considered
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus
• Flexible to work 2 morning and 2 night shifts of 12 hours each, with 4 days off per week, and ready to stay near the site during shift days
