Coordinator - Shipping

About the role

Coordinate and oversee all activities related to the shipment of goods, ensuring compliance with Incoterms and local and international shipping regulations. Keep stakeholders updated through internal tracking tools and manage documentation for smooth clearance and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Compare charges with two forwarders and negotiate rates when no agreed rate card exists.
• Follow up on purchase orders, archive documents, and create advance shipment notifications.
• Review shipping documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading) with clearing agents.
• Share HS code summaries and delivery schedules with agents before arrival.
• Handle MOFAIC clearance for UAE mainland shipments above 10,000 AED.
• Archive charges and submit payable requests after delivery.
• Prepare operational reports and monitor KPIs related to shipping performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, freight coordination or supply chain operations.
• Understanding of import/export documentation and Incoterms.
