Cost Accountant

About the role

The Cost Accountant will support Napco National Packaging by analysing production costs, preparing accurate financial reports and recommending cost‑saving measures. The role requires strong analytical abilities and effective communication within a fast‑moving manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze changes in product design, raw materials and manufacturing methods to assess cost impact.
• Compare actual production costs with standard costs and prepare periodic variance reports.
• Record cost information to control expenditures and support budgeting.
• Prepare cost estimates for new products or services.
• Recommend cost‑efficiency improvements in product layouts.
• Apportion costs between production units and management.
• Report and analyse operational metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collect, monitor and analyse data from multiple sources to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to understand and apply internal policies and procedures.
• Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
• Proficiency in using standard office equipment and automation systems.
• Capability to work with accounting systems and ERP software.
