Cost Controller - Catering Operations

About the role

The Cost Controller monitors, analyzes and controls costs across catering operations to ensure financial efficiency while maintaining quality standards. The role covers inventory management, food cost control, waste reduction, budgeting, supplier management and financial reporting to support the company's profitability. It is an on-site position in Dubai with a package of 15,000 to 18,000.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze food production, procurement, labor and operational costs, monitor actuals against budgets and investigate variances
• Manage inventory, maintain optimum stock levels, enforce FIFO and handle dead or obsolete stock
• Monitor food waste across kitchens and catering locations and implement corrective actions
• Work with culinary teams on menu engineering, standardization and profitability analysis
• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers and evaluate them on cost, quality, reliability and compliance
• Assist in annual budgets and forecasts, and prepare cost reports, variance analyses and KPI dashboards
• Review expenditures, ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and conduct internal audits of inventory and cost control
• Collaborate with Kitchen, Procurement, Operations and Finance teams

Required profile

• 3 to 5+ years of experience in cost control, preferably in catering, hospitality, food service or FMCG
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Cost Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or a related field
• Certifications such as CMA, ACCA or CPA are advantageous
