CSSD Technician (DOH Licensed)

About the role

Czech Rehabilitation Hospital in Al Ain is looking for a detail-oriented, dedicated DOH licensed CSSD Technician. The role ensures that medical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, decontaminated and distributed across the facility's departments, keeping infection control and patient safety at the highest standard.

Key responsibilities

• Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and washers to clean, decontaminate and sterilize instruments and equipment according to health and safety guidelines.
• Inspect, sort and assemble surgical instrument sets for medical procedures, making sure every item is functional and in good condition.
• Maintain and track inventory of sterile supplies, including surgical instruments, dressings and other medical materials.
• Perform regular quality control checks against infection control and sterilization standards and report issues to the CSSD Manager.
• Keep accurate records of sterilization processes for audit and compliance.
• Assist in distributing sterilized equipment to departments on time and accurately.
• Follow infection control protocols, workplace safety regulations and organizational policies.

Required profile

• Diploma in Nursing or an approved certification in CSSD or sterilization services.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in CSSD or sterilization.
• Valid DOH license.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of sterilization procedures and infection control practices.
• Familiarity with medical equipment, instruments and sterilization machinery.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills; able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Working conditions include flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as required, in a clinical, sterile environment with exposure to cleaning agents and sterilizing equipment.
