Customer Due Diligence Manager

About the role

Envision Employment Solutions is recruiting a Customer Due Diligence Manager for a partner, a leading digital bank, based on site in El Sheikh Zayed City. The role leads the team that rates, reviews and escalates customer risk, and signs off on high-risk customers and material CDD decisions. It sits within the Compliance and Regulatory Affairs department.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the CDD team, including work allocation, performance management and staff development
• Maintain the CDD framework, including customer risk rating, Beneficial Owner and PEP controls
• Oversee high-risk customers, EDD and source of funds/source of wealth reviews where required
• Oversee high-risk customer acceptance and material CDD/EDD decisions
• Oversee periodic and trigger-based reviews, customer financial crime risk reassessment and CDD remediation
• Assess customer and geographic risk, including FATF-identified jurisdictions and higher-risk countries
• Oversee eKYC and digital onboarding controls and their effectiveness
• Monitor CDD/EDD effectiveness, identify gaps and emerging risks, and give CDD/EDD input to new products, services and material changes

Required profile

• 7+ years of Financial Crime/AML experience, with significant CDD, KYC and EDD experience, including supervisory or management experience
• A relevant AML/Financial Crime qualification is preferred

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of CDD/EDD, Beneficial Ownership, PEPs and customer risk assessment
• Knowledge of CBE/EMLCU and FATF requirements
