About the role

The Customer Service Specialist – Food will deliver an exceptional shopping experience at the food counter, ensuring high standards of service, product knowledge, and food safety. You will be the face of the store, helping customers choose the right products while maintaining a clean and inviting environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Accurately take orders, process payments and promote loyalty programmes.
• Provide detailed product information, including ingredients, allergens and promotions.
• Drive sales through active product promotion and cross‑selling.
• Maintain fully stocked, visually appealing food displays and monitor product freshness.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, HACCP and local health regulations.
• Prepare, package, label and present food items according to operational guidelines.
• Support stock receiving, inventory counts, waste management and shrinkage control.
• Participate in promotional events, tastings and seasonal campaigns.

Required profile

• Ability to greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Attention to detail for product freshness, expiry dates and hygiene standards.
• Willingness to work on the shop floor and handle cash transactions.

• POS system operation.
